Last week, I had the privilege of meeting Ms. Kangana Ranaut, Hon’ble MP from Mandi constituency.
It was heartwarming to reconnect, as I had also met her way back in 2011 in the darshan lines of Tirupati Balaji, just before the release of her first major hit film “Tanu Weds Manu”. Life indeed comes full circle.
During our meeting, I gifted her my story book based on Captain Saurabh Kalia, the brave son of Himachal who made the supreme sacrifice during the Kargil War.
She became deeply emotional, and with sorrow in her eyes, remembered his unparalleled sacrifice for the nation.
Truly touched by her humility, sensitivity, and the grace with which she carries both her responsibilities as an artist and as a public servant.
